First meeting is the only album from the short lived british jazz rock septet trifle founded by singer george bean which also included trumpeter dick cuthell saxophonist barrie martin keyboardist alan fealdman guitarist john hitchen bassist patrick king and drummer chico greenwood. Some nice organ swirls and the horns lend a bit of a jazzy feel a la colosseum to the proceedings.

The group folded shortly after this album was recorded as a result of the tragic death of its leader. Trifle were a one off british horn rock outfit that recorded for dawn records. Jazz rock style. The band featured two reed players as well as organ and guitar.

It looks similar to another unofficial first meeting but with the different matrix string and without sid codes. Music on vinyl movlp1909 format. A release packaged in a jewel case with clear tray and 12 page booklet. Tracks 10 and 11 were originally released as a b sides of single as dawn dns 1008 in november 1970.

Jazz rock style. Tracks 1 to 9 were originally released at dawn records in 1971.
