Toddler Falling Down Carpeted Stairs

I was barefoot having just taken off my slippers that merit their name.

He is fine but i am not. Because my 11 year old step daughter left the gate open. My 2 year old fell down the stairs today at a birthday party right in front of my eyes. He has some lumps and carpet burn on his head but that seems to the be the extent.

I was not a fan of carpeting before moving into my current home where the stuff covers two stairwells and the whole second floor. My 14 month old fell down stairs four days ago and im still so freaked out he cried right away and is fine except for a carpet burn on his right eye and nose but the guilt and shame you feel as a parent is unbelieveable im still having nightmares and i will never forget the noise of hearing my baby fall down stairs like other parents i. I screamed when i saw him go over the first step. Kids have accidents no matter how much we put in their path to prevent them.

I keep replaying it in my mind and crying. Rolled down them like a movie stunt man and hit the floor at the bottom. I m even more of a detractor now that it has caused me to fall three times on the stairs with the most recent incident on monday drawing some blood i m not an especially clumsy person. Do you think safety at home is important.

Toddler fell down the stairs. A big awful sound scares jo and the mom as they run to find out a small toddler fell from the stairs. He went down two steps on his tummy onto a landing lost his footing and tumbled the rest of the way down. My husband and my 13 year old son flew to the stairs but weren t able to catch him.

There are tons of moms and dads that have had babies fall from changing tables or down stairs or off the bed my first born did that and i am sure there are a number of other typical accidents out there.
